Original WW2 Ladies Khaki Drill Skirt as used by the ATS as well as the WAAF.
The skirt would appear to be theatre made as is common with wartime period Khaki Drill. It features a side opening which is fastened with buttons and a slash pocket. It has the number ‘8’ stamped inside the waistband in ink which is typical in font of Indian made KD items.
When laid flat the skirt measures -
Waist - 16 1/4”
Length - 27 1/2”
The skirt is in very good condition with no signs of undue wear or age. Generally speaking it displays very well but please study the pictures as these form part of the description. The top button is missing from the side opening but this should not be difficult to replace.
A nice original WW2 period KD skirt which are hard to find these days, particularly in good condition and a wearable size.
