An original knitted wool British Army officer's private purchase scarf which belonged to a Scottish officer who served with the Royal Artillery during WW2.
The scarf is typical of those used during the Second World War and is either a private purchase or home made example. Many women knitted 'comfort' items for the forces and this could well be one such item. It is made from the standard khaki green coloured wool and is a large size which can be folded out as illustrated in picture three. It has been knitted with a nice ribbed pattern and features tassels to each end.
It is in good condition with no serious flaws or signs of excessive use.
A guaranteed original wartime item in great condition.
