A scarce original British Army camouflage tank suit hood in good condition.
These hoods were produced to be worn with the matching camouflage tank suit. They are of the same design as the tan examples featuring a British brush stroke camouflage screen printed to the exterior, a khaki flannel wool serge lining and a layer of kapok between these. The hood features a drawstring which runs around the circumference of the hood and there are brass press studs around the bottom edge which allow it to be attached to the corresponding tank suit. There are also two green vegetable ivory (plastic) buttons to the front.
There are no labels or markings inside the hood but these camouflage examples were only produced in 1945.
The hood is in very good condition with no signs of previous wear or use. It displays very well but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing.
A rare example of the camouflage tank suit hood!
