These battledress blouse style Khaki Drill jackets came into service with the British Army during 1943 and saw extensive use in the Italian Campaign. They are now very rare and sought-after by collectors.
The blouse is in excellent condition and is quite likely an issued piece. The only flaw I can find is a that the loop which secure the belt on the right hip needs to be stitched back on at the top. Other than this the blouse is in excellent condition.
There is no buckle with the blouse but this should be easy to source.
Inside the jacket are the correct stamps one would expect to find in an Indian made garment but sadly there is no date present. Even though there is no date, this is without a doubt a wartime made jacket.
All in all, an excellent example of this rare jacket which would compliment any collection!
