Original Inter-war British Army Khaki Breeches

Original Inter-war British Army Khaki Breeches

Code: 53593

SOLD

An original pair of British Army khaki wool breeches dating from the inter-war period.

These breeches are made from the standard khaki serge wool material used for Ordinary ranks breeches during the Great War and the inter-war period. They are a typical cut which feature a high rise waist and button fly and laced up calfs. The fly buttons are brown plastic whilst the braces buttons are brown painted, metal two piece buttons, similar to the brass two piece buttons used on early Second World War battledress. The interior features a partial cotton drill lining and it appears to have the name 'T. Vivian' stamped onto it.

The breeches will suit around a 32" waist and when laid flat they measure -

Waist - 16"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 18"
Inside leg - 21"
Outside leg - 33"
Cuff - 5 1/2"
Calf - 6 1/2"

The overall condition of the breeches is very good. They display well with only limited signs of wear and age. There are a couple of small moth nips to the front as shown in picture 9. They are a vintage pair of breeches so please study the pictures before purchasing.

A nice original pair of British Army breeches in good condition.
