A fantastic original pair of Indian made Khaki Drill trousers dating from the early part of the Second World War and in good condition.

This pattern of trousers was in production at the beginning of WW2 and may well date from the 1930s. Like many Khaki Drill items these trousers are 'theatre made', with this particular pair being made in India. The trousers are made from a khaki coloured cotton drill and feature hand stitched buttonholes and crude stitching which is typical of Indian made items. The buttons are stamped zinc examples, most of which are stamped 'Our Own Make Asian' which could point to the trousers being of pre-war manufacture. Other key attributes of this pattern of trousers are the twin pleated front with separate waistband and 'V' to the rear of the waistband.

The trousers are a smaller size which will suit around a 29" waist depending on desired fit. When laid flat they measure -

Waist - 14 1/2"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 15"
Inside leg - 29 1/2"
Outside leg - 40 1/2"
Cuff - 10 1/4"

The trousers are in very good condition with only limited signs of wear and age. There is a mark to the front as can be seen in the pictures but overall the trousers are in very good shape. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that these are vintage, pre-owned trousers which may have small issues commensurate with age.

A nice pair of early Khaki Drill trousers with some great details. A must have for anyone interested in the early war period!
