An original pair of Second World War period Brown pebbled leather boots in good condition.
These boots are typical of those worn by British Army Officers throughout the Second World War. They are made from a brown coloured pebbled leather and feature a stitched toe cap, eight eyelets and a leather sole. A metal cleat is fitted to the toe of each sole which is a common feature on military footwear. There is no date to be found on the boots but they are typical of 1940s manufacture and certainly couldn't have been made later than the 1950s.
There is no size marked anywhere on the boots but they are a snug fit on a size 9 foot, so are most likely a UK size 8 or 8 1/2. The soles measure 12 1/4" in length and 4 1/2" at the widest point of the sole. The boots have had heel sole inserts fitted which may be obscuring the size.
The boots are in good condition as can be seen in the pictures. They display very well with some signs of wear and age. Overall they look very wearable but please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that these are a pre-worn pair of vintage boots.
Altogether these are a good pair of original boots which are in great condition. They would make a great addition to any wardrobe or collection!
