Original 1950s British Royal Navy White Cotton Shorts - Size 30

An original pair of white cotton British military shorts dating from the 1950s. 

This style of shorts was worn by members of the Royal Navy, amongst others. They are made from a white coloured cotton drill material and are cut in a typical manner for the time featuring a high rise waist. The fly fastens with buttons and belt loops are positioned around the waist which also fasten with buttons. 

Inside the shorts retain their original markings which include the size of 5. They will suit around a 30" waist and when laid flat they measure - 

Waist - 15 1/2"
Rise - 13 1/2"
Rear rise - 17 1/2"
Inside leg - 10"
Outside leg - 22"
Cuff - 13"

Overall, the shorts are in good condition and are totally wearable. There is some light staining and signs of age etc, but on the whole they display well. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
