Original 1950s British Military Khaki Drill Trousers

Original 1950s British Military Khaki Drill Trousers

Code: 52161

SOLD

An original pair of 1950s British Khaki Drill Trousers as worn by those serving in the RAF, British Army and Royal Navy amongst other units.

Like many Khaki Drill items, these trousers are theatre made. They are made from a tan coloured cotton drill and feature a high rise waist and button fly. Angled slash pockets are located at the hips and a single pocket is located to the rear. Belt loops are fitted around the waist. The angled slash pockets and buttons would suggest these trousers date from the early 1950s although they may be earlier.

The trousers are a smaller size which will suit around a 28" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat measure -

Waist - 14"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 17"
Inside leg - 30"
Outside leg - 41 1/2"
Cuff - 910 1/2"

The trousers are in good condition with only limited signs of wear and use. There is a slight loss of stitching to the seat as shown in the pictures. Only one of the two lines of stitching has come away meaning there isn't a hole. They may have  other small issues commensurate with their vintage but overall they are very clean indeed.

A nice pair of original 1950s trousers in wearable condition. These would make a great addition to a collection or could suit a reenactor.
