An original pair of 1945 dated Canadian Cold Weather boots as used by Canadian troops during the latter part of the Second World War.
These boots were popular during the winter of 1944-45 which was extremely cold for those men fighting in North West Europe. They are made from rubber and feature an integral molded rubber sole and galosh section and rubber uppers. The front of the boots fasten with laces and there are two metal buckles at the top of each boot.
Inside the original Canadian War Department stamp is still visible with the broad arrow surrounded by a 'C'. The size of 7 is also marked to the insole, as is the 1945 date.
The boots are in good condition as can be seen in the pictures. They display well with no signs of previous wear or use but are of course a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A nice original pair of this pattern of boots with good clear stamps.
