A scarce pair of 1944 dated 'Trousers, Camouflaged White' dated 1944 in excellent condition.
These rare trousers were issued to numerous units during the Second World War including mountain troops and British Airborne in the Arden. They are made from a lightweight cotton which was favoured by soldiers at the time as it fits easily over Battledress and is quick drying.
This particular example appear to be in un-issued condition. There is a mark to the top right edge as can be seen in the pictures. Otherwise they display very well.
The original label is still present to the interior and is bright and legible. The size is stated as No. 2 which will fit a 34 - 35" waist and the manufacturers name is 'J. D. Fieldman & Co Ltd'. The 1944 date is present as is the War Department broad arrow marking.
Overall, a very good pair of rare trousers which would be ideal for the British Army collector or re-enactor!
