These shorts are the standard pattern issued to Australian troops during the Second World War. The feature a button fly with two exposed buttons to the waistband and side adjusters. The dark chocolate brown buttons are typical of those found on Australian made KD as is the style of buckle used on the side adjusters.

Inside the shorts the original label is still present and is again typical of Australian made items. It features the War Department broad arrow marking, the words 'made in Australia', the 1943 date. The original owner has added his serial number to the label as well as an RAAF style eagle underneath his number. This is replicated directly onto the inside of the waistband and makes for a nice period feature.

The shorts are a smaller size as will fit a 30-32" waist, being adjustable. When laid flat the waist measures 16 1/4".

The shorts are in nice condition with only limited signs of wear and use. Overall they display very well but may have small issues commensurate with age.
