An Original pair of Indian Made British Khaki Drill Trousers dated 1942 and in good condition.

These trousers are typical of those issued to men serving in the British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and other units during the Second World War. Indian made clothing such as this saw widespread issue in both the Middle East and Far East as the supply lines were shorter than shipping from other parts of the world.

The trousers are made from the standard Khaki coloured cotton drill material used for trousers and shorts during this period and feature slash pockets to each hip. The trousers follow the pre-war service dress pattern and don't feature any rear pockets and have a fishtail back. The fly is a button type and buttons are also present around the top of the trousers to hold braces. All the original stamped metal Indian buttons are present around the waist while the fly features a different style. Large belt loops are also fitted around the top of the waist which is a nice feature.

The trousers are a small size which will suit a 26" waist and when laid flat they measure -

Waist - 13 1/4"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 15 1/2"
Inside leg - 27"
Outside leg - 39"
Cuff - 8"

The trousers are in good condition with only limited signs of wear and age. Overall they display very well and are still very wearable but please study the pictures and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small issues commensurate with age.

Altogether these are a nice pair of war dated trousers which display well!
