A scarce original pair of 1941 dated British Army plimsolls which are in unworn, deadstock condition.
This pattern of shoes was used throughout the Second World War by the British Army as part of the physical training uniform. The are made from a brown coloured canvas and feature a molded rubber sole. A set of 5 brown painte metal eyelets are found on each shoe through which are fitted a set of laces which appear to be the originals.
Inside the plimsolls the original markings are still present and are bright and legible. The maker's name of 'N. B. R. Co Ltd' is present as is the 1941 date and the War Department broad arrow marking.
The shoes are in excellent condition with no signs of previous wear or use. They display very well but please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
A fantastic pair with an early war date which would be very hard to better!
