An original pair of 1940s British military Khaki Drill Trousers in good condition.
These trousers are theatre made and are devoid of any markings making them impossible to date exactly. However the cut and the details are typical of trousers produced during the 1940s and throughout the Second World War. They are made from a tan coloured cotton drill material and feature a high rise waist and a wide leg which feature turn ups to the bottom. The front of the trousers feature twin pleats and straight slash pockets which help date them as 1950s trousers usually have angled hip pockets. Belt loops are fitted around the waist and the fly fastens with buttons. A single pocket is located to the rear and a small ticket pocket is located below the waist band at the front which is a great period detail.
The trousers will suit a 34" waist and when laid flat measure -
Waist - 17 1/4"
Rise - 15"
Rear rise - 18"
Inside leg - 29"
Outside leg - 41 1/2"
Cuff - 10"
The trousers are in good, wearable condition and display well. They do show signs of age and use so please take time to study the pictures before purchasing.
