An original pair of WW2 Period British Army Jungle Green Trousers in good condition.
These original trousers are clearly theatre made, most likely in India, and are typical of those worn during the Second World War and into the 1950s. They are quite possibly private purchase examples as they are devoid of any stamps or markings - although this is not uncommon with theatre made uniforms.
The trousers are made from a cotton drill material which has been dyed the standard Jungle Green shade used during the 1940s and 1950s. They feature a high rise waist, button fly and waist adjusters are fitted to each side of the waistband. The trousers feature a single pocket which is typical of British clothing from this era.
The trousers will fit someone of around a 28" waist and when laid flat measure -
Waist - 14 1/4"
Rise - 14 3/4"
Rear rise - 19 1/2"
Inside leg - 29 3/4"
Outside leg - 42"
Cuff - 10 1/2"
The trousers are in good condition with some signs of wear and use. They are still very wearable and display well as can be seen in the pictures. Please study these and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-worn pair of trousers which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A good pair of original 1940s JG trousers with some great details!
