An original 1940s British khaki drill bush jacket as worn by members of the British Army and the RAF during the Second World War as well as in the post-war period.

This example is made from the usual khaki - tan shade of cotton drill used during this period. It features a full button front, long sleeves which have been rolled up and scalloped pocket flaps - the design favoured by the RAF. Epaulettes are also present and have not had badges fitted which again makes this ideal for RAF use. The jacket is fitted with plastic buttons and there is evidence of where badges have previously been fitted to the collar.

The jacket is a smaller size which will suit around a 36" chest depending on desired fit. When laid flat it measures -

Chest - 21"
Length - 31"
Shoulders - 17"

The jacket is in heavily worn condition which is reflected in the price. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a pre-worn vintage jacket which may have small flaws commensurate with age.

A very original 1940s bush jacket.
