An original 1945 dated British Army Battledress Blouse with Royal Corps of Signals shoulder titles, anti aircraft command divisional patches and lanyard.
This very original jacket has been heavily pressed by the original owner for smartness and the creases are still razor sharp today!
The jacket features original embroidered ‘Royal Signals’ shoulder titles, printed anti-aircraft Command divisional patches and a blue royal corps of Signals lanyard. All the insignia is clearly original to the jacket.
Inside the jacket the original label is still present and very clear, if a little grubby. It states the size as size No.4 which is a small size and will fit up to a 35” chest.
The jacket has been well worn and was clearly used for working as well as walking out. It has stains and wear consummate with this, particularly in the collar which I have photographed. The jacket still displays very well however and oozes originality. This is an authentic wartime Battledress Blouse and not a later badged up jacket!
Altogether a lovely original Battledress jacket that displays very well. It would undoubtedly compliment any Second World War British Army display or collection.
