An extremely good example of an orignal British made wartime battledress blouse in a large size No.16, clearly dated 1944.
This pattern of blouse came into use during 1942 and was used until the end of the wear by many British units in a number of campaigns.
This particular example is in outstanding condition and appears to have never been issued. The serge is beautiful and the lining is fresh and free from stains or marks. The original label is also very fresh and clearly states size No.16 and 1944 as the year of manufacture.
This blouse has the chocolate brown buttons on, usually associated with early manufactured 1940 (austerity) pattern pieces and often sort after by collectors.
This Battledress blouse would be very hard to better. Not only is the condition fantastic but the size is large and hard to find in any condition, let alone condition this good!
