An original pair of British Army MT goggles and box as worn by drivers, tank crews, dispatch riders and more, throughout the Second World War.
These goggles appear to be un-issued and un-worn but have been damaged. The strap is still the deep blue-grey colour and retains its elasticity but the lenses have been broken and have suffered from delamination. Reproduction lenses are available and if fitted would make these a very usable pair. The leatherwork is also very good and the metalwork is sound with signs of oxidation.
The goggles come complete with their original brown coloured hardboard box which is also in reasonable condition for its age.
Whilst not the best set of goggles, the condition has been reflected in the price. With a new set of lenses these could be restored to their former glory.
