An original pair of early Second World War British Army MT goggles and box as worn by drivers, tank crews, dispatch riders and more.
This pattern of goggles features grey stockinette sides as well as grey fur which denotes them as an early manufactured item, with the leather type more commonly seen coming into use later in the war.
The goggles are in good condition for their age. The nickel plated frames are good as are the stockinette signs which have one small rust mark. The strap is firm but only retains a very limited amount of elasticity. The lenses have some delamination as is common with the type of goggles.
All in all a good pair of early war goggles which would make a good addition to a collection.
