A nice example of an early World War Two British Army Forage cap in a medium -large size.
The cap has had a purple section stitched in at some point in its life but it would be simple to remove if you so wished.
The condition of the cap is very good with no signs of moth. The cap has two small general service buttons to the front which have been heavily polished.
Inside the cap is soiled from wear as they usually are but is still in good usable condition. The makers stamp and date are still visible although sadly no longer legible.
The hat is a good medium - large size. I would estimate around a 7 1/8 - 7 1/4.
Overall a great hat which displays well and would be ideal for the collector and reenactor alike.
