An original German parachute bag dating from the Second World War.
This pattern of bag was used throughout the Second World War by both the Luftwaffe and the Fallschirmjäger. It was used for the RZ1, RZ20, RZ36 and all Pilots parachutes.
This example is made from a hessian canvas weave and features herringbone straps. There is a large flap to the top of the bag which fastens with 'Lift The Dot' style fasteners which are marked 'Zieh Hier'. The top of the bag has had the initials 'KG' painted in large red letters.
The bag is in good condition with some signs of wear and use as illustrated in the pictures. It is not a perfect example with some small flaws but overall displays well. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-used item.
A good, complete example which displays well.
