An original British Army MK2 1903 Pattern leather bandolier dating from the first half of the 20th Century.
This pattern of bandolier was introduced at the very beginning of the 20th Century and saw use from that point all the way through to the Second World War as part of the bandolier equipment. This example is the MK11 version which was introduced on the 27th of November 1905.
The grained leather and brass parts would suggest that this is a British made example and not a commonwealth made bandolier. There are no markings or dates present but it is clearly an original item.
Overall the bandolier is in good condition and displays well with some signs of age and wear including some dryness and cracking to the leather.
A good original example which could suit a WW1 or WW2 collection well.
