An original 1919 Pattern Webbing Frog clearly dated 1920 and made by ‘M.E.CO’.
This pattern of frog is very similar to the 1908 webbing frog with earlier examples featuring a tab to the rear which connected to the helve holder. The Entrenching tool was not part of the 1919 set so this was removed.
The rear of the frog is clearly marked with the MECO markers mark and 1920 date. There is also a War Department inspectors stamp present as is typical on this period of British webbing.
The condition of the frog is very good as can be seen in the pictures. It displays very well and is still very fresh making it suitable for a collector as well as a re-enactor.
All in all a nice example of an inter-war piece of British webbing.
