A vintage French workwear chore jacket in blue, dating from around the turn of the last century.
This type of jacket is synonymous with French artisans, workers and labourers of the mid-century period and is arguably the most iconic jacket ever produced in France.
It is made from the usual sanforized cotton used in France during this period due to it's hard wearing nature. Inside the jacket are various labels which bear the maker's name of 'Magasins Bleu', 'made in France' and the size of 52.
The jacket is a smaller size and when laid flat the jacket measures -
Chest - 24”
Inside arm - 18 3/4”
Outside arm - 24 1/2”
Length - 29”
Shoulders - 19 1/2”
The condition of the jacket is very good and it appears to be unworn. It is a vintage, pre-owned item however so may have small issues commensurate with age.
A classic piece of workwear!
