Rare Original WW2 Australian Khaki Drill Battledress Trousers

Rare Original WW2 Australian Khaki Drill Battledress Trousers

Code: 53633

SOLD

A scarce original pair of Australian Khaki Drill battledress trousers in good condition and dating from the latter part of the Second World War.

This pattern of trousers was introduced for wear with the matching battledress jacket which was also made from the same khaki-tan coloured cotton drill material. The trousers feature the double buckle waist fastening as was used on numerous patterns of KD shorts and trousers during WW2. The most notable feature is the large single pleated rear pocket to the rear which is typical of late war jungle trousers. As well as this there is a single pleated First Field Dressing pocket also located to the seat. The trousers also feature belt loops and a button fly. All of the buttons are the very dark brown coloured plastic type usually seen on Australian KD items. Inside the trousers there is evidence of where the label was originally positioned although it has since been removed.

The trousers will suit around a 29" waist and when laid flat they measure -

Waist - 14 1/2"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 17"
Inside leg - 29 1/2"
Outside leg - 41"
Cuff - 9 1/2"

The trousers are in good condition with some signs of age and wear. They display well and are totally wearable with no serious flaws or damage. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a pre-owned, vintage pair of trousers which may have small issues commensurate with age.

A rare pair of wartime KD trousers!
