A rare original pair of British made tan Bedford cord breeches dating from the late Edwardian period.
This style of breeches was popular for a number of years and were worn for various sporting and country pursuits as well as by the military.They are made from a khaki tan coloured bedford cord material as was often used for breeches due to its hard wearing nature. The fly fastens with buttons and there are more buttons around the top of the waist to which braces can be attached. These are all made of horn and the larger one's feature the maker's name of 'Harry Hall'. Frog mouth pockets are located to the front and the rear features a single pocket as well as a large cinch-back belt and buckle - a typical detail to find on early breeches such as this. Reinforcement patches are found to the inside of each leg which is yet another common trait found on British made breeches. The lining materials are also typical of those used on early Breeches.
The breeches will suit a 30" waist and when laid flat they measure -

The overall condition of the breeches is good and they look to be very wearable. There is some staining and fading as is evident in the pictures but on the whole they are sound. Please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A nice original pair of early men's breeches which would look good paired with an British officer's Khaki Drill tunic from the same period.
