An original pair of Tartan Trews in good condition which were made by 'Uniformal' in 1985.
This pattern of trousers were worn on certain occasions by a particular Scottish Regiment. They are made in a green, blue with white and red overcheck wool, feature an 'opti' branded zip at the fly and slash pockets to the hips. The trousers are cut in a traditional manner with a high rise waist and fishtail back. They feature buttons on the inside of the waistband to which braces can be attached.
Inside the trousers the original label is still present and bears the maker's name of 'Uniformal' along with the manufacture date of 18th April 1985. The original owner's name of 'T. Quinn is also present.
The trousers will suit a 30" waist and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 15"
Rise - 13"
Rear rise - 18"
Inside leg - 29 1/2"
Outside leg - 40 1/2"
Cuff - 8"
The trousers are in very good condition for their age. There are no signs of serious wear or damage but please bear in mind that they are a pair of vintage, pre-owned trousers which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A good original pair of Trews!
