An original French Chore Jacket in blue and dating from the 1980s.
This type of jacket is synonymous with artisans, workers and labourers of the mid-century period in Europe and is now an extremely iconic jacket.
This example dates from the 1980s with the collar shape being typical of this period. It is made from a blue coloured cotton drill and features blue buttons. Patch pockets are fitted to the front of the jacket and the word 'Cofrafer' is printed in yellow above the breast pocket.
The jacket is a medium size which will fit around a 40" chest depending on desired fit. When laid flat the jacket measures -
Chest - 22 3/4”
Inside arm - 18 1/2”
Outside arm - 24”
Length - 27 12”
Shoulders - 18 1/4”
The condition of the jacket is good considering it is a vintage work piece. It appears to be an unworn, new old stock jacket but does have some minor staining to one sleeve and a small hole to the other. It may have other small issues commensurate with age but overall is very wearable.
A good original jacket in great condition!
