An original British made men's Harris Tweed Jacket made by Burton in 1967.

This jacket is typical of British made tweed jackets from the 1960s. It is made from a classic blue-green coloured tweed and features leather footballs to the front and to the cuffs. Flapped pockets are located to the skirt and a single chest pocket is present to the left breast. The rear features a short, single vent. The jacket fastens with two buttons and features a typically narrow 1960s lapel.

The interior is fully lined with a gold coloured rayon material and features two internal pockets. Above the main pocket is the Burton label whilst the Harris Tweed label is below it. Inside this pocket is a paper label which bears the date of August the 30th 1967.

The jacket will suit a 38" chest and when laid flat it measure -

Chest - 21"
Inside arm - 16 1/4"
Outside arm - 23 1/4"
Shoulders - 17"

The jacket is in worn condition and has numerous holes, possibly caused by moth damage. There is also a button missing from one of the cuffs meaning the jacket is far from perfect. This is reflected in the price and detailed to the best of my abilities in the photographs.

Whilst far from perfect this is still a classic British jacket with some nice details.
