An original 1960s men's trilby hat made by 'Dunn & Co' which is a large size 7 3/8.
This hat is typical of those worn by men in the 1960s and its pronounced curved upward brim makes it immediately identifiable as being from the 1960s. Hats were popular in the first half of the 20th Century and were still a staple item for older men who considered themselves not properly dressed unless they had a hat.
This example is made from a classic chestnut brown coloured fur felt and features a matching grosgrain band around the base of the crown. The interior is lined and there is a leather sweatband which is marked 'Dunn & Co Piccadilly Circus London'. Behind the leather sweatband is a simple label which bears the colour name of 'Havana' along with the size of 7 3/8. The inside of the crown features the classic Dunn & Co graphics along with the address and the hat style name of 'The Berkeley'.
The hat is in good condition with limited signs of wear and age. Please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
