An original Italian Army M1929 Telo Mimetico Camouflaged Parachutist Jacket dating from the 1960s.
This pattern of jacket came into service with the Italian Army during the Cold Wear and saw extensive issue. Made from the post Second World War version of the M1929 camouflaged which was developed in the inter-war period, the jacket features a pop stud closure to the front and large reinforced elbows. Two patch pockets are fitted to the chest which also fasten with pop studs and the collar features period insignia. The bottom edge of the jacket features elastic meaning it will fit larger than the size stated below, if needs be.
The jacket is cut in a generous, smock-like manner to allow for plenty of free movement. When laid flat it measures -
Chest - 25"
Inside arm - 20"
Outside arm - 22 1/2"
Shoulders - 22 1/2"
Waist - 16"
Length - 25"
The jacket is in worn condition with some marks and staining. There is a repair to the rear of one of the shoulders which has been done using matching material. Whilst far from perfect the jacket is very wearable and has a great look to it. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a pre-worn vintage jacket.
A nice jacket with a striking camo pattern!
