An original German Chore Jacket in blue and dating from the 1960s.
This type of jacket is synonymous with artisans, workers and labourers of the mid-century period in Europe and is now an extremely iconic jacket.
This example dates from the 1960s but has a collar shape more typical of earlier periods. It is made from a lightweight blue coloured cotton and features black plastic buttons. Inside the jacket the original label is still present.
The jacket is a smaller size and when laid flat the jacket measures -
Chest - 21”
Inside arm - 18 3/4”
Outside arm - 23”
Length - 26 1/2”
Shoulders - 17 1/2”
The condition of the jacket is reasonable considering it is a vintage work piece. It has a variety of stains and other signs of wear and use. There is also a small hole to the rear. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a pre-worn, vintage work jacket.
A good original example with lots of character, staining and wear - as they should be!
