An original pair of French Work trousers dating from the 1960s.
The trousers are typical of french work trousers from the mid century period. They are made from a hard wearing, blue coloured sanforized cotton as was popular during this era for workwear. They feature a flat front, angled slash pockets to the hips, belt loops and a single rear patch pocket.
The trousers fasten at the fly with buttons as is common to find on workwear pieces such as this. The button holes are set at an angle which is an interesting detail.
The trousers will fit someone of around a 31" waist depending on desired fit. When laid flat they measure -
Waist - 15"
Inside leg - 31"
Rise - 11 1/2"
Rear rise - 15 1/2"
The trousers are in good condition for their age, especially when considered they are a work piece. They have clearly been worn and laundered but only have limited signs of wear and use. There is some staining and the leg length has clearly been altered a couple of times. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that these trousers are a pre-worn pair of vintage work trousers which are over 60 years old and may have small issues consummate with this.
A nice pair of original workwear trousers with all the typical features one would expect to find. A good wearable size, these would make a nice addition to any wardrobe.
