An original pair of French workwear trousers dating from the 1960s.
This type of trousers is synonymous with artisans, workers and labourers of the mid-century period in Europe and is now an extremely iconic jacket. Whilst these trousers date from the latter part of the 20th Century, the cut and materials remain unchanged from earlier examples making them a good alternative.
The trousers are made from a lightweight, brown coloured cotton and feature a single pleat front. A narrow waistband supports belt loops and the fly fastens with buttons. Straight slash pockets are present to each hip and the rear of the trousers features a patch pocket which fastens with a single button.
The trousers will suit someone of around a 38" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 19 1/2"
Rise - 12 1/2"
Rear rise - 16"
Inside leg - 26"
Outside leg - 36 1/2"
Cuff - 9"
The trousers are in well worn condition as can be seen in the pictures. There are a variety of repairs and some damage which is reflected in the price. Please study the pictures before purchasing.
