An original pair of British cotton drill work trousers in khaki and dating from the 1960s.
These large size trousers are typical of those worn by men in Great Britain as workwear during the 1960s. They feature typical details from the period including a button fly, elasticated waist adjusters, angled slash pockets and a pleated front. They also feature a single rear pocket and belt loops to the waist.
To the top of the fly is a small size tag which reads '38'. Inside the trousers another label is present which bears washing instructions. The original cardboard size tag has also survived which would suggest these trousers have never been worn. It states the size as 38x33.
When laid flat the trousers measure -
Waist - 18"
Rise - 13 1/2"
Rear rise 17"
Inside leg - 32 1/2"
Outside leg - 45"
Cuff - 9 1/2"
The trousers are in very good condition and appear to be unworn. They have a mark to one of the legs as shown in the pictures and are a vintage item however so may have small issues commensurate with age.
A nice pair of British work trousers in a harder to large size.
