An original pair of men's jodhpurs dating from the 1950s and in good condition.
These jodhpurs are made from a russet brown coloured whipcord - a material favoured for jodhpurs and breeches throughout the first half of the 20th Century. They feature a button fly and waist adjusters to the hips which are typical features of the period. The interior of the waistband is lined and features buttons to which braces can be attached. Frog mouth pockets can be found to the front of the trousers whilst the rear of the trousers features a single, buttoning pocket. The legs feature a reinforced section on the inside which is again a typical feature on this style of clothing.
The jodphurs will fit around a 31" wasit depending on desired fit and when laid flat measure -
Waist - 16"
Rise - 15 1/2"
Rear rise - 21"
Inside leg - 31"
Outside leg - 43"
Narrowest point at calf - 7 1/2"
Cuff - 6 1/2"
The overall condition is good with limited signs of wear and use. There are some signs of age and some small moth grazes, although these are only noticeable on close inspection. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that they are a pre-worn, vintage item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A nice original pair of jodhpurs in a great colour! These would make a good addition to any wardrobe or collection.
