An original men's smoking jacket in blue made in the 1950s.
This style of jacket was popular with men during the mid Century period and was often worn after dinner when the men retired to smoke, hence its name. It is made from a lightweight blue coloured rayon material and features darker lapels and pocket flaps along with a circular pattern to the main body. The jacket retains its original matching waist belt which are often missing. The jacket is fully lined in rayon which gives the jacket extra weight and helps it to hang well.
The jacket will suit a smaller build of around a 36" chest depending on desired fit. When laid flat it measures -
Chest - 21"
Inside arm - 17 3/4"
Outside arm - 23 1/2"
Shoulders - 17 3/4"
Length - 32"
The jacket is in wearable condition but has numerous staining as can be seen in the pictures. It is still very wearable and the staining is reflected in the price. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing.
