An original pair of late 1950s British made men's Cricket Flannels in a sie 30 x28.
These trousers are typical of those made in the UK during the 1950s. Cream flannels were a popular choice during this period for sport as well as for casual wear. The trousers feature a mid rise and button fly which fastens with white plastic buttons. The front of the trousers also feature a twin pleated front and angled slash pockets to the hips along with a single pocket to the rear. The waistband features an adjustable section to the rear which is elasticated and is often seen on mens trousers from this period. To the bottom of each leg is a turnup which is again a common feature from this era.
The trousers will suit someone of around a 30" waist and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 15"
Rise - 12 1/2"
Rear rise - 15"
Inside leg - 28"
Outside leg - 40"
Cuff - 8 1/2"
The trousers are in good condition and have been professionally cleaned. As is often the case with cream coloured flannels there are some marks and some staining which has been reflected in the price. These trousers are far from perfect but are still wearable - please study the pictures before purchasing.
A good original pair of 1950s trousers.
