Original 1950s Men's Collared Shirt by 'Radiac' - Size XL (2)

Code: 51806

SOLD

An original men's collared shirt made by 'Radiac' in the 1950s.

This shirt is typical of those sold and worn in the UK during the 1950s. It is made from an off-white poplin cotton and features a cutaway collar, a style which came into fashion in the late 1940s and became the most prevalent style of collar in the 1950s. The shirt features a full buttoning front and a barrel cuff.

Inside the collar the original label is still present and states the makers name as 'Radiac' who were a prolific shirt maker in Great Britain during the mid Century period. Below this is the model name of 'Punch'.

The shirt is an extra large size which will suit around a 46" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -

Chest - 26 1/4"
Inside arm - 22 1/2"
Outside arm - 25"
Shoulders - 20 1/2"
Length at front - 35 1/2"
Length at back - 37 1/2"
Collar - 18"

The shirt is in reasonable condition for its age with some signs of wear and use. There is some minor staining but overall the shirt appears to be very wearable. Please bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-worn item and may have small issues commensurate with age.

A typical 1950s British shirt in a hard to find extra large size.
