An original pair of British made men's trousers dating from the 1950s which are in good, wearable condition.
These trousers may well have originally been part of a suit. The construction is typical of trousers made in the UK during the 1950s with a high rise waist, button fly and wide leg. The lining in the waistband and the white brace buttons are typical of 1950s trousers. The trousers are made from a black coloured wool and feature a twin pleated front, slash pockets to the hips and side adjusters at the waist.
The trousers will fit around a 35" waist depending on desired fit. When laid flat they measure -
Waist - 17 3/4"
Rise - 14 1/2"
Rear rise - 19"
Inside leg - 32 1/2"
Outside leg - 45 1/2"
Cuff - 10"
The trousers are in reasonable condition for their age with some signs of wear and use. Please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-owned item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
