An original men's charcoal grey waistcoat made in Great Britain during the 1950s.
This style of waistcoat was very popular during the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s. The waistcoat features a charcoal grey coloured wool front which fastens with six buttons and bears four welt pockets. The interior is fully lined and the rear is back in black rayon. A cinch back belt and buckle is present with the buckle being marked 'British'.
The waistcoat will fit a 39" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat the chest measures 19 3/4" and the length is 22 1/2".
The overall condition appears to be good and it is still very wearable. This is a vintage pre-owned item however so may have small issues commensurate with age.
A good example of a typically British mid-century waistcoat.
