A nice original men's green coloured poplin cotton shirt made by 'Cotella' in the 1950s.
This shirt is typical of those made in the UK in the 1950s. It is made from a green and white poplin cotton and features a white neckband collar and a full button front. The cuffs are french, designed to be worn folded back onto themselves with cufflinks. They are semi stiff and made by 'Van Heusen' as is the white cotton neckband collar.
Inside the neck of the shirt the original label is still present and states the material as 'Super quality "Vantella" poplin English made shirt'. The collar size of 14 1/2 is printed on the inside of the collar as is the brand name of 'Van Heusen'.
The shirt will suit someone of around a 36-38" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -
