An original 1950s men's loop collar shirt made by 'Lord Carlton' in an excellent red and green dogtooth pattern.
This style of casual shirt was highly popular with men in America throughout the 1950s and the 1960s. The shirt is made from a lightweight rayon fabric making it ideal in warm climates. It features a loop collar detail, welt pocket to the chest and long sleeves.
Inside the shirt the original label is still present and bears the maker's name as well as the size of 'M'. When laid flat it measures -
Chest - 22 1/2"
Inside arm - 20"
Outside arm - 23 1/2"
Shoulders - 18"
Length - 27"
The shirt is in good condition for its age and is very wearable. It shows signs of wear and use, particularly to the cuffs. It is a vintage item so may have other small issues commensurate with age. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing.
A nice original mid Century shirt with a great label and in a brilliant colourway!
