An original men's Pyjama jacket dating from the 1940s.
This style of pyjama top was highly popular for many years in Great Britain and during this period were more often than not made from wool cotton mix, as this example is. The oatmeal, cream brown and blue striped pattern is typical of the era as are the buttons, one of which appears to be a replacement. A patch pocket is fitted to the chest.
Inside the jacket there are no labels just the numbers '2807'.
The jacket is designed to fit around a 42" chest and when laid flat the jacket measures -
Chest - 24"
Inside arm - 19"
Outside arm - 21"
Shoulders - 19 1/2"
As can be seen in the pictures the shirt is in worn condition but overall displays well. Please study the pictures carefully before purchasing.
A classic British item with a colourway that is very evocative of the period.
