An original pair of British Khaki Drill shorts dating from the 1940s and in good condition.
These shorts appear to be either private purchase or civilian examples as they are devoid of any markings. They are made from the standard khaki coloured cotton drill used for British military shorts during the 1940s and feature the double buckle waist fastening, first used on the 1941 pattern shorts. The shorts feature a button fly, a single rear pocket and chrome plated waist buckles.
The shorts will fit someone of around a 35" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat measure -
Waist - 17 3/4"
Rise - 13 1/2"
Rear rise - 17"
Inside leg - 8"
Outside leg - 19"
Cuff - 14"
The shorts are in good condition with only limited signs of age and use. They are still very wearable but may have small issues commensurate with age.
A nice original pair of 1940s khaki drill shorts in good condition.
