An extremely characterful 1940s British hacking jacket in a brown and cream dogtooth check with striking orange over-check.
This style of jacket was extremely popular in the UK for many years and were worn for various country pursuits. They were often worn heavily and repaired over many years, with this example being no exception! It is made from a heavy wool and features a three button front, notched lapel, welt pocket to the chest and lower flapped pockets. The rear features a twin vent which is a typical feature of hacking jackets. The interior is lined with a black coloured cotton rayon mix which was popular during this period.
The jacket will suit a 38-39" chest and when laid flat it measures -

Inside arm - 17 3/4"
Outside arm - 25 1/2"

Length - 29"
The jacket is in well worn condition with various stains and repairs which are reflected in the price. It is a very sound jacket overall however, and is totally wearable. The jacket has a great 'used' look and is just how it should be. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a pre-owned hacking jacket with various flaws.
