An original British School blazer dating from the 1940s.
This jacket is typical of those worn at schools and colleges from the 1930s through to the 1950s. It is made from a bottle green coloured wool and features metal buttons and no lining. Three patch pockets can be found to the front of the jacket with the chest pocket featuring the school crest and motto.
The jacket is a small size which will suit around a 34" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat it measures -
Chest - 18 1/2"
Inside arm - 17"
Outside arm - 23 3/4"
Length - 25 1/2"
Shoulders - 14 3/4"
The jacket is in reasonable condition for its age. There is some moth grazing and general signs of wear as can be seen in the pictures. Please study them before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a pre-worn vintage item.
A nice original mid-century blazer in a striking colour.
