An original men's five button blue pinstripe waistcoat dating from the 1940s.
This waistcoat is typical of those made and worn during the 1940s. Made from a deep blue coloured wool which features a fine pinstripe pattern and is lined with a striped cotton. Four welt pockets are fitted to the front and the back of the waistcoat doesn't feature a cinch back belt and buckle as is usually found during this period. This is commonly found on CC41 and demob waistcoats made under austerity measures during the Second World War.
The waistcoat will suit a 34" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -
Chest - 17"
Length - 21"
The waistcoat is in good condition for its age with only limited to signs of wear and use. Overall it displays well but please bear in mind that this is a vintage item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A classic 1940s waistcoat in a great colour.
